View big. | The Story Set approximately 10 years afterwards the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture one time again echo together with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster somehow familiar, yet still quite different from anything ever seen has been snatching little girls and delivering them back to the undersea city. It is a Big Sister, new denizens of Rapture who were one time one of the forgotten little girls known as Little Sisters, known to inhabit the city's dank halls. No longer a pawn used to harvest ADAM, the dangerously great gene-altering lifeblood of Rapture, from the bodies of others and in turn run the risk of being harvested herself, the Big Sister is now the fastest and much great thing in Rapture. You, on the other hand are the very first Big Daddy, in fact the prototype, this for some reason has reactivated. You are similar to the Big Daddies familiar from the original BioShock, but in addition very different in this you possess free will and no memory of the events of the past ten years. The question is, as you journey throughout the decrepit and stunning fallen city underneath the waves, hunting for answers and the answer to your own survival, are you really the hunter, or the hunted? Plasmids and gene tonics offer a wide range of aggressive and passive capabilities which can be upgraded and arranged for fast use. The capability to use plasmids and tonics provides you a decided edge over other Big Daddies and much other denizens of Rapture, excluding the great Big Sisters. In addition, due to their role as a Big Daddy, players will experience a new relation to the Little Sisters. Upon defeating standard Big Daddys you are given the familiar choice as to whether to harvest or adopt them. Harvesting gains you ADAM immediately, but could alter your path throughout the strategy, while adopting makes you responsible for Little Sisters, who then accompany you throughout Rapture, but in addition offer aid and warning in times of danger. Additional gameplay features contain: new plasmids, weapons and the capability to combine these two. The strategy in addition features the anticipated multiplayer modes. Several of these are team-based, allowing up to 10 players. Inside these players are provided together with a rich prequel experience this extends the origins of the BioShock fiction, and lets you to have fun as one of several characters pulled from Rapture's history before the events of the first strategy. Great sequel, great game 2010-03-10 |

| This game continues the tradition of superb story telling that was laid out in the first game of the franchise. Taking place 10 years after the original game you travel back to Rapture, this time as a Big Daddy to fight your way through the various venues of the city in search of you Little Sister. Game play is very similar to the original game so if you played the first BioShock your not going to experience anything radically new in this department. There are new foes to contend with outside the standard set of Splicers found in the first game, the most notable of which is the Big Sister. Story is still delivered through the Acu-Vox recordings that were present in the first game and radio communications. As a Big Daddy you have the ability to adopt little sisters which will allow you to gather ADAM for upgrading and the game continues the same moral choices regarding them as in the first game. New weapons are available as well and the usual suspects of vending machines and upgrade stations are available as well. A very enjoyable game and a good continuation of the Rapture story. |
