| | | The Pokéwalker Integrated: The Pokéwalker is a exclusive pedometer this you carry together with you this lets you get Pokémon fun wherever you go! You can transport a Pokémon onto the Pokéwalker accessory utilizing an infrared connection between the Pokéwalker and your Strategy Card. Then as you Stroll all-around together with your Pokémon, it’ll earn Experience Points to gain a altitude. And you can even locate products and exclusive Pokémon while you’re on the go! The Pokéwalker is small enough this you can keep it in your pocket and get wherever you go. It in addition has a clip to hook it on your belt, and a hole for attaching a strap. It’s never been easier to get Pokémon together with you!
Pokéwalker The Pokéwalker counts the number of steps you get as you walk all-around. The extra steps you get, the extra Watts you earn, which you can use to locate products and Pokémon!
When you transport a Pokémon from your strategy into your Pokéwalker, you can pick and choose which Route you’d like to get your Pokémon along. Depending on which Route you get (such as in a grassland or by the sea), you’ll encounter different wild Pokémon and locate remarkable products. When you first initiate your journeys together with the Pokéwalker, the list of Routes you can pick and choose from is short. But, the extra you get a Stroll together with your Pokémon, the extra Routes will be visible and the extra Pokémon and products you’ll be effective to get!
Catch Wild Pokémon! Afterwards you’ve collected some Watts by going on a Stroll together with your Pokémon, use some of them to use the Poké Radar to catch wild Pokémon! If you see tall grass rustling afterwards you use the Poké Radar, you recognize you’ve found a Pokémon. You have three options in the battle. You can attack, evade, or catch the wild Pokémon. By attacking, you can wear down the wild Pokémon to do it easier to catch. If you select to evade when the wild Pokémon attacks, you’ll perform a counterattack! And when you believe the timing is right, throw a Poké Ball to catch the Wild Pokémon. You can keep up to three caught Pokémon in your Pokéwalker at a time. If you catch a fourth Pokémon, you must select one of them to set free.
Locate Products! Use the Pokéwalker’s Dowsing Machine to help locate products. Like the Poké Radar, you use the Watts you earned while walking to use the Dowsing Machine. Some of the products you can locate are quite uncommon! When you use the Dowsing Machine, you’ll see six patches of tall grass, and one of them has a concealed product in it. You have only two chances to discover the product! Some of the products you can get are really hard to locate and very valuable, so keep hunting!
Time to Transport! One time you’ve found Pokémon and products utilizing your Pokéwalker, you can send them back to your Pokémon strategy. You can only keep up to three Pokémon and three products in your Pokéwalker at a time, so be sure to send them to your strategy when your inventory fills up! Remember, if you catch a fourth Pokémon in your Pokéwalker, you’ll have to swap out one of the three Pokémon you’ve already caught.
The Pokéwalker Journal Afterwards your Pokémon has spent some time in your Pokéwalker, you can get a recap in the Pokéwalker Journal. The journal tells of all the places the Pokémon has been and the things it has found while traveling inside your Pokéwalker! For example, if you catch a particular Pokémon while out on a Stroll, your Pokéwalker Journal will do note of it. It will in addition keep track of how your Pokémon has behaved while inside your Pokéwalker!
Pokéwalkers Communicate together with Every Other! The Pokéwalkers don’t communicate only together with Strategy Cards—they can in addition communicate together with every other! When you connect Pokéwalkers together with a friend, you’ll together get an product as a gift! You can connect two Pokéwalkers via infrared signal by pointing them at every other. When you do so, together players will get an product! You can get up to ten products by connecting to your friends, but you can get only one gift per person, per day. | |

Nostalgia... 2010-07-27 |
| By Miss Crowley |
| I haven't played a Pokemon game since Red & Blue came out; for a trip down memory lane I decided to buy this new updated version for my DS. Overall it's very fun, a lot of great updates since the Game Boy days, but still retains enough of the original charm to remain pleasing to those of us who remember the originals. I definitely recommend it! Tons of fun and keeps me entertained. |
Great Game... 2010-07-18 |

| I bought this game and SoulSilver for my son's ninth birthday. He loves them both, but I honestly think he likes SoulSilver more as he plays it more often. |
Good Fun Long Game 2010-07-12 |
| By Jacob |
I bought this for my younger sister as a gift. She said it was better and longer than perl and diamond (spelling)
It also came with a pokeball which let's you bring 1 pokemon with you wherever you go. And you get items when you walk places. And some other stuff that i don't know but she said it was fun and shes still playing it! |

| I played the original on my gameboy color way back when. It is wonderful to be able to play one of my favorites in the series all over again. I love the new added features. A must buy for Pokemon fans. Very kid friendly. Yes, I am 21.. Who cares. |
A golden game 2010-06-28 |
| By G. Mcinnis (Candor,N.C USA) |
I know most games have flaws... but I gotta say, this is one game that has hardly any. The original gold and silver were amazing, and I dont think any GBC games could ever compete with them... and for now, few ds games can compete with Heart Gold. Heres why (notice, if you dont like pokemon some of this may not make since to you)
First up, the graphics are amazing. The 3d features of the Ds were really utilized here. The colors are rich, and if you stand near water you can hear it sloshing on the shore or waterfalls roaring, and if you run up metal stairways you actually here the clink clank noise. Raikou, Suicune, And Entei have their own unique themes, and Ho-oh and Lugia have amazing themes. Also, the events for Ho-oh in this game and lugia in soul silver are amazing... I cant begin to describe them. Notice- in heart gold lugia does not have an event, and soul silver Ho-oh does not. They are still catchable after you defeat the champion and clear certain events, but there will not be a cutscene and they will be level 70.
Several gyms have been majorly redesgined, and the fact pokemon walk behind you is cool too. Sinnoh pokemon are found here and there, and hoenn pokemon. You can get kyogre in heart gold, and get groudon in soul silver. If you trade the other one and have both in the same game, rayquaza is obtainable.
Pros-
Graphics are amazing
Events make the game worth playing
Pokeathelon
Lots of legendaries
Pokemon walk behind you
Pokewalker
Cons-
Red is extremely difficult, and most post game events require you beat him.
If you get mewtwo you are nearly unbeatable.
Doesnt have the same classic feel as gold and silver... more like crystal.
Some events require trading.
Very hard to catch some pokemon without masterballs.
All in all, most the bad things arent enough to make this game not worth buying. If you get this, dont get soul silver, or vice versa, cause they are close to the same game. I hope I helped. If you dont like pokemon games that are basically going around, battling, training, and catching pokemon, then dont buy this game. But ultimately, its similar to gold and silver... missing that classic feel but oh well! Its worth the buy.
