Umm, if you happen to enjoy playing WoW, don't buy from this site. I ordered my card on Feb. 28, a Sunday. The card showed - and still shows - as being IN STOCK. No holidays have occurred between Feb. 28 and today. The card has *just* now shipped, on March 5, a FRIDAY. It is slated to arrive on March 11. Let's see, almost TWO WEEKS? There's a REASON why this site features FREE SHIPPING. It's free alright. And the care, the expediency and the commitment with which your order is sent out will reflect that. ;-)
I strongly advise anyone who actually wants to continue their WoW subscription any time this century to STEER CLEAR of AmAzing IDIOCY and purchase elsewhere! |
Nice game, pricey 2010-02-17 |

| I bought this for my son to continue the game after his free trial was over. I think it's a little expensive for what it is. There are several cheaper mprpg's out there that are just as entertaining. |
Card cannot upgrade trial versions 2010-02-11 |

Did your netbook come with a free trial of WoW?
Think you can use this card to convert to a real membership?
Guess again!.
Dispite the box advertising "Continue your Adventure" (or quest or whatever), and the card it self saying it can be used for new and exisiting accounts, there is no way to use tho credits of the prepaid card to convert your trial membership into a real membership.
In the updgrade process, the WoW website is launched and you are presented with the options of:
1) give them a credit card (no thanks)
2) Enter the Key from a store bought CD-ROM
3) Order a CD-ROM by mail.
Elsewhere on the site it mentions that if you use a prepaid card, and you have the account set to use credit cards you have to manually cancle the credit card memebrship. Sounds like they want to make it as hard as possible to unhook your credit card from them. Shades of AOL!. I don't want to risk even a one-time-use card on that. I've learned my lesson on credit card auto billing and the difficulty in cancelation. Even a card with an expiration date can come back to haunt you of they somehow gleen the new expiration date.
If you don't want them latching on to your card, your only option is to buy a CD. Even if you have a netbook without a CD drive. I guess that will make Best-Buy and Walmart happier.
If they had put a warning on the box "CANNOT EXTEND TRIAL MEMBERSHIP" I wouldn't be so pissed.
Its not like you can return the prepaid card once it leaves the store to exchange it. |

| I never know what to get my husband, but he always loves getting WOW gift cards. Easy gift to give for the avid gamer. |
