Customer rating is 5 of 5  Fantastic Game and Item!   2010-08-19
By Jill V. Zaitchick
For everyone that loves to play World of Warcraft, but you do not want to link your account to a credit card, this is a perfect buy! It gives you two months of play, and you do not need to pay extra for access to the expansions (other than buying the expansions themselves)! Enjoy this while you can!
Customer rating is 5 of 5  A Solution to the Real ID Controversy   2010-07-08
By E. Richards (Alone with my thoughts)
Blizzard's customer service takes place by phone (which can involve a long wait in queue) or via an in-game trouble ticket. You can only have one ticket per character and, often can wait days for an answer. Their site directs users to the publicly readable forums for customer support issues and general game questions. Currently, the postings show the avatar selected by the user. In future, Blizzard's parent company will require all postings to the publicly readable forums show the posters' real first and last names. This will be in conjunction with the new version of the game, Cataclysm. The announcement has set off a firestorm in the publicly readable forums. Forget getting phone support right now - they can't even queue calls.

Concerns posted by users include violation of the ESRB privacy requirements for minors, LGBT players getting harassed, female players who are stalked in-game being stalked in real life (Advanced players use a voice app to talk to each other during some aspects of the game, hence the "outing" of females.), professionals are concerned that their jobs and job prospects may be affected (a recruiter in Australia is quoted as saying he never hires Warcraft players), singles are concerned about their dating prospects (stereotypes about guys in mom's basement), and others are concerned for personal safety. (Players kill each other in-game and some get very heated up about it.)

The realID system has already proven buggy (Add-ons can get this information and potentially expose billing email addresses to criminals) and, with the CEO's obsession with Facebook, we are bound to have Facebook-like security associated with the product. (In other words, none.) So, watch your credit card and credit rating.

In future, I will be using these game play cards. I can order them reasonably safely here on Amazon and apply the credit to my Blizzard account, without further risk to my personal credit card.
Customer rating is 3 of 5  A better alternative   2010-06-02
By William H. Burleson
Simply put, this is the best alternative when you want to control your subscription payments. As the nature of such, you can pay in advance and activate the card at a later time when you feel it is best. This can help to save you money in different times and seasons when you don't feel like playing. I have this issue since I hop, skip, and jump to different games, be it older or newer.

I also want to comment on the great pricing of the card. The standard one month rate is $15.99 last I checked, so you're saving a few bucks. Now, this can be refuted easily by suggesting that you can get a better discounted rate if you purchase the longer subscription renewals but you must be willing to play the game almost every day you spent the money for. I am not one of such players who can. I can attest to all the breaks-some short term and long term ones-over WoW. However, if you do get into the game enough, you may find that paying for a single month will not allow you enough time to enjoy what you're playing the game for.

I believe that 60 days at its own sequence is enough time. The best compromise between not having enough time from one month and realizing that you have too much game time that will end up getting wasted when you are well satisfied.

Customer rating is 5 of 5  Why the BIG BOX!?   2010-05-06
By Steve Dodds (CA USA)
this is a game code on a credit card sized card. WHY THE BIG BOX!? Yes, I understand it's a retail shelf box, but couldn't Amazon work a deal with Blizzard to get some kind of simple lightweight (GREEN) product version to ship? come on...
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Best online game   2010-04-15
By Seyed Mahdi (Philadelphia)
its a good game, kind of so addictive but so far good
almost $15.00 per month is expensive but when you play you wont be disappointed.
Also you have to be patient, this is a huge game so it take a lot of time to do your quests and level up.
